Repeat Prescriptions

If you take medication on a long-term basis, you can ask for a repeat prescription in any of the following ways:

  • Telephone (0191) 285 1119 between 10:00am -12.00pm and 14.00pm 16:00pm
  • Drop the tear-off part of a previous prescription into the box provided in reception or at the Reception desk.
  • Prescriptions can also be ordered online by clicking on the link at the top of this page. A login will be required for this service – details of how to sign up are available from reception.

Please order prescriptions twenty four hours in advance. Prescriptions ordered on a Friday will be available the following Monday. Please take into consideration any Bank Holidays when ordering Prescriptions also.

Prescriptions can be sent directly to the pharmacy of your choice. please inform the receptionist which you would prefer. 

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
