Repeat Prescriptions
There is a pan-Ayrshire policy for prescription requests to allow Ayrshire & Arran to have a standardised process across all GP practices and pharmacies. We would kindly ask that:-
1. Patients order their prescription in time to allow seven working days before they present at their chosen pharmacy to collect their medicines;
2. Patients should order all of their required prescription items at the same time - either ourselves or your local pharmacy can facilitate alignment of medications should this be required.
3. The preferred ordering process for prescriptions is online via this website or by emailing us at Prescriptions.FrewTerraceSurgery@aapct.scot.nhs.uk or by calling 01294 270889 during practice opening hours.
4. If patients are on a regular medication for a long term condition please contact ourselves or your local pharmacy to enquire if a serial (long term) prescription is suitable for you.

Please note: Emergency “On the Day Prescriptions” will only be issued to patients who suffer from Asthma, Heart Problems, Diabetes, Anti-Coagulants & Palliative Care Patients
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
