Repeat Prescriptions
Do not allow yourself to run out of your medication
THERE IS A GREY POST BOX ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE WALL AS YOU APPROACH THE FRONT DOOR - PUT YOUR REPEAT REQUESTS IN HERE, DO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING
If you have regular medication for a condition that your doctor is aware of you can periodically collect a repeat prescription from the practice without having to make an appointment.
Repeat prescription requests can be made by the following ways:
Online
Our practice has been enabled to take repeat prescriptions online. In order to make use of this facility, you must be registered as a patient with our practice. Only then can you register with this service. You can register with this practice/service by contacting us on 01530 839629.

By Post / In Person
You can send in a printed request slip (available from the practice, which shows the medication you are taking) to the practice by post or in person.
Electronic Prescription Service
A new way to get your medicines and appliances
The NHS is introducing the Electronic Prescription Service. This could make collecting prescriptions easier and more convenient for you. This service gives you the option to nominate the pharmacy you choose to get your medication or appliance from so that they can receive your prescriptions electronically. This could save you a trip to your GP Practice just to collect a prescription form - particularly if you have regular prescriptions. Nomination forms are available from your chosen pharmacist or you can pick up a form from the waiting area in the practice.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see either the GP or the practice pharmacist at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
