Repeat Prescriptions

multicolour_pillsIf you need a repeat prescription, please post, or hand in your prescription request slip.  Telephone requests are ONLY accepted in exceptional circumstances, for reasons of safety.

1) You may also register for easy, patient on-line access to your repeat prescriptions. This requires a once-off registration with the surgery only, and will give you easier and more flexible access to request a REPEAT prescription. Please phone or stop by reception to register for this.

2) You may also email your REPEAT prescription request to: scripts.inchpark@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk  Please make sure you clearly state your name, address, date of birth, telephone number and the name and strength of the medication needed. Please note that the email will be sent via an un-encrypted link.

3) Are you stable on repeat medications?

Are you on fewer than 6 repeat medications a day?

You could be eligible for serial prescribing

Serial Prescribing allows for 1 year of medications to be sent to your chemist if you are stable & have completed your annual reviews

This is convenient for patients as well as reducing workload for Pharmacists & GPs.

If you are interested ask our receptionist to ask Rose or Katrina our in house pharmacists to call you back.

Please note we cannot reply to medical queries, accept requests for appointments or sick notes via email.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

symbol error 3Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
