Dr Mark Wheeler qualified in London in 1987 and completed his specialist GP training in the UK, Ireland & Australia. Over the next seven years he trained in paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, dermatology, ENT (ear nose and throat), emergency and general medicine.

He was made a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1992 and he also holds the Diplomas of Child health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dermatology and Occupational Medicine. In 2006 Dr Wheeler was elected to the Irish College of General Practitioners.

Dr Wheeler spent three years as a partner in a practice in Brighton, UK, before taking over the practice in Edenmore. Though first and foremost a GP he has a keen interest in diseases of the skin. He holds weekly skin clinics at Edenpark Surgery, is a member of the Primary Care Dermatological Society, the Primary care Surgical Association.

He continues to work with the ICGP, the HSE & local GPs to improve Primary Care in this area. He is married with four daughters.
 Dr John O'Dwyer MB BCh BAO MRCPI MRCGP MICGP


Dr O'Dwyer qualified from medical school in 2001. After qualification he worked in a broad range of specialties including Cardiology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry & Care of the Elderly. He worked in Temple St Children's Hospital before completing GP training in Edinburgh.

Dr O'Dwyer's interests include child health, cardiovascular and diabetic care, male health and musculoskeletal medicine. In 2012 he was appointed as a GP Trainer with the North Dublin City GP Training Programme. In 2018 he was appointed as a CME tutor with the Irish College of General Practitioners.

He grew up in North Dublin and is married with six children.

Dr Fionnuala JoyceDr Fionnual Joyce MB BCh BAO MICGP DCH DipOccMed CFP

Dr Joyce qualified from Trinity College in 1999 and completed her postgraduate GP training in Ireland. In 2003 she moved to Oxford in the UK and worked as a GP there for 6 years.

While in England she also worked in Helen House Children's Hospice where she developed an interest in the care of the terminally ill.

She has trained in medicine, paediatrics, psychiatry, emergency medicine, gynaecology and family planning. She has also completed diplomas in Child Health and Occupational Medicine.

She is married with three young children.

 Dr David O'Connell

MA MB BCH BAO MICGP, Diploma in Dermatology

Dr O'Connell studied at Trinity College Dublin and the RCSI before completing his training in general practice in 2009. Dr O'Connell has a special interest in Dermatology and skin surgery. He regularly performs skin excisions, joint injections and cryosurgery. Specialist treatment for both acne and problematic viral warts are also available.
