Below are links to an explanation of the role of UK health services, the National Health Service (NHS), to newly-arrived individuals seeking asylum. The information covers issues such as the role of GPs, how to register as a patient and how to access emergency services.

Special care has been taken to ensure that the information is clear and the content and style has been tested with user groups.

The original documents were hosted on the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) website but can now be found by following the link on the DHSC website to the UK Government Web Archive.
