Online Access Plan
The 2014 NHS / GP contract requires that by 31st March 2015, the practice should provide on line access to the registered patient for that patient to be able to:
a) Make, view, amend, cancel or print appointments online
b) View, order or print a list of repeat drugs, medications or appliances online, and
c) Access, view online, export electronically or print, any summary info derived from the electronic Medical Record (ie medications, allergies, adverse reactions only).
To be able to sign up for this service, a registered patient should attend the medical centre with photo ID such as passport or photo driving licence and proof of address. This will enable us to allocate a pin and an ID which will allow you to register for this service via the EMIS Access website.
Once you have these details from us, you should go to https://patient.emisacces.co.uk and follow the instructions online.
Frome Valley Medical Centre is asking for photo ID at this early stage, as we believe that the data available will increase over time and so that we ensure that it is indeed the patient themselves who is applying for access. We must advise all patients that security of access from the patient's computer / device is a matter for the patient and our strong recommendation is that the password is kept secure and not shared.
Please also note that a registered patient may only apply for access to their own record.
