When the practice is closed, please dial 111 in the following situations:
- Need medical help fast, but it's not a 999 emergency
- Think you need to go to A&E or another NHS urgent care service (other than 999)
- Need health information or reassurance about what to do next.
Buckland Hospital and the Kent & Canterbury Hospital have minor injury services, the nearest A&E Departments are at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, and the QEQM Hospital in Margate.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
Consider downloading the free Health Help App, available to help you find the most appropriate local health service for common symptoms in Kent.
Please remember to use 999 for

LIFE THREATENING situations ONLY
