When We Are Closed

For urgent medical advice between the hours of 6.30 p.m. and 8.00 a.m. Monday – Friday and over the weekend or bank holidays please dial 111 or the surgery number: 01787 378226 Your call will be diverted to the out of hours service provided by the NHS 111 service.

You should use the NHS 111 service if you urgently need medical help or advice but it's not a life-threatening situation.

Call 111 if:

  • you need medical help fast but it's not a 999 emergency
  • you think you need to go to A & E or need another NHS urgent care service
  • you don't know who to call or you don't have a GP to call
  • you need health information or reassurance about what to do next

For immediate, life-threatening emergencies, continue to call 999.

Consultations will either be conducted over the telephone or you will invited to attend a local out of hours centre to see the doctor. If necessary, you will be visited at home.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
