When We Are Closed

For urgent medical problems when the surgery is closed telephone 111 and you will be put through to the out-of-hours service.

You may be offered advice, an opportunity to visit an emergency surgery, or a home visit if appropriate.

The out-of-hours service is commissioned by Rotherham CCG.

Other Local NHS Services

As well as our practice, there are many other local NHS services you can contact for health advice

111 service – offers free expert health information and advice 24 hours a day by telephoning111. They have facilities for deaf people or those hard of hearing and also translation services if English is not your main language.

Accident & Emergency – whatever the day or time, if you or someone else experiences severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go to your nearest A&E or call 999.

A&E Departments are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can assess serious injuries and provide emergency treatment.

Walk In Centre – the nearest centre is at Rotherham Hospital, Moorgate Road, Rotherham.

Your Local Pharmacist will be able to give free health advice at any time.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
