Appointments
Consultations are strictly by appointment. A separate appointment is necessary for each member of the family wishing to see the doctor or nurse.
You are free to arrange an appointment with any doctor but please bear in mind this may not always be the doctor of your choice if booked at short notice.
Routine appointments are usually 10 minutes. If you feel your problem may require longer than this or you need to discuss more than one problem, please notify the receptionist at the time of booking.
We apologise for any delays which may occur during surgeries. These usually occur because a patient has a particularly complicated problem which takes more time to resolve. We would ask for your patience on such occasions.
Please note, you will be seen by the doctor in the order of your appointment time and not the order in which you arrive at the surgery. If you arrive late you may be asked to make an alternative appointment depending on the time you arrive.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please cancel at least 24 hours before so it can be given to another patient.
Telephone Advice
A doctor is always available to give advice over the telephone, please ring the surgery before 12:00 noon for booking telephone consultations. The doctors are busy during surgery times and interruptions during the surgery are upsetting for both doctors and patients. For this reason the staff have been asked not to disturb consultations with non urgent phone calls. The doctor will ring you back after surgery.
