Home VisitsDoctor's bag

Good diagnostic and treatment facilities are available at the surgery and if you are able to get there, we can treat you more effectively.  In general, home visits are only intended for those who are too ill to come in. If you do not have a car, you should try to arrange a lift from a relative or friend or take a bus or taxi.  Very few, if any, illnesses are made worse by a short journey.

If a visit is medically necessary, we will be happy to arrange this. Please contact the surgery and give the receptionist all the necessary details so that the doctor can assess the urgency of the call.

Please try to ring before 10:30 for a house call. The visiting doctor may not always be the one you usually see.
