We aim to offer appointments with a doctor or nurse practitioner within 3 working days.  If you need a same day appointment the receptionist will ask for symptoms to pass to the duty clinician.

If you have received a letter you will be booked in to the appropriate clinic or with the person requesting you to attend.

Sometimes there can be very heavy traffic on Poolstock Lane; it is advisable for patients to allow plenty of time for their journey.

NOTE: If you are late you may be asked to wait until the end of surgery or to make another appointment.

See a GP or Nurse Evenings and Weekends at your convenience

Now you can book an appointment to see a GP or Nurse between 6.30pm-8.00pm on weekdays, and between 10.00am-4.00pm on weekends and bank holidays.

Registered Wigan Borough patients can telephone 01942 482848 and book yourself an appointment.

Sometimes the doctors make video recordings of their consultations with patients. These are used to help improve their consultation skills and their ability to talk to patients.

When this is happening the receptionist will ask you to sign a form if you agree to your consultations being recorded.

If you prefer not to have your consultation recorded please tell the receptionist. This will not affect your treatment in any way. If you initially agree to the recording then change your mind, please tell the doctor or receptionist and the tape will be erased.

The videotape is subject to the same confidentiality and security as your medical records. The tape will only be seen by doctors or people who are responsible for your care.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
