Appointments at Millbrook Medical Centre

Consultations at both of our locations are by appointment.

The practice offers a range of appointment types:

Pre-bookable face to face appointments

These are booked via AccuRx Triage. You must complete the form and you will then be contacted by an Admin member within 2 working days and offered a GP appointment within 2 weeks.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND A PRE-BOOKABLE APPOINTMENT IF YOU HAVE A NEW COUGH, TEMPERATURE, LOSS OF TASTE OR SMELL SYMPTOMS. CONTACT RECEPTION ON 0151 546 2480 WHO CAN HELP DIRECT YOU TO A GP VIA THE TELEPHONE.

Pre-bookable telephone appointments

These are booked via AccuRx Triage. You must complete the form and you will then be contacted by an Admin member within 2 working days and offered a GP appointment within 2 weeks.

On the day face to face or telephone appointments

We are retaining our "on the day" face to face and telephone appointments for patients who may need a short notice appointment. These are bookable via the telephone on the day for ACUTE problems only with our Advanced Nurse Practitioners and GP Trainees. Any ongoing issues will need a pre-bookable appointment with the GP.

AccuRx Triage

You do not need to be signed up to Patient Access to use this.

For URGENT SAME DAY ONLY appointments please contact the practice on 0151 546 2480 to see an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. When these appointments are full there will be a message on the phone line advising you of the current status. In this instance you are advised to contact NHS 111 to assess the urgency of your same day request.

For NON-URGENT APPOINTMENTS please use link below. If you need an appointment it will usually be within 2 weeks (average time 1 week) with a GP or appropriate member of the team.

Either select ADMIN for sick notes, test results, general admin queries etc. Please select MEDICAL for appointments with any of our team. Please do not submit medical requests via the admin query as your request will not be dealt with via this route. For anything URGENT we advise you to phone the practice.

If you have a preference for a morning / afternoon appointment or a particular clinician, please state this and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please note however this cannot be guaranteed based on appointment / clinician availability.

Physiotherapist

The practice offers direct Physiotherapy appointments to any patient with a musculoskeletal problem. Please enquire with Reception regarding this if you think you may be suitable.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. You can cancel your appointment via text appointment reminder, Patient Access or by informing Reception.
