If you wish to make an appointment with either the Doctor or the Nurse please telephone the surgery on 01588 640573
Routine appointments are usually made for 15 minutes please ask the receptionist if you require longer.
We operate a pre-bookable appointment system for all routine appointments.
URGENT APPOINTMENTS
If your condition is acute and you need to see the Doctor urgently please let the reception know. If your need is urgent you will always be seen on the day. Urgent appointments are 10 minutes.
If you cannot make an appointment please tell us in advance so that we can offer it to someone else.
Please note that accidents and emergencies take priority over all Surgery and Clinic commitments. Please be understanding if this disrupts the schedule.
Online Appointment Booking
Online appointment booking has temporarily been suspended as we are operating a total triage system at the present time. Please telephone the surgery if you wish to make an appointment and reception will initially arrange a telephone consultation with a doctor for you.
Using online services makes it more convenient for people at our practice, as there’s no need to make a phone call or visit us. Computer, smartphone or tablet users can make or cancel an appointment at a time that suits them, even when the practice is closed.
If you are not already registered for GP online services please let a member of the practice team know you would like to use this service.
Extended Hour Appointments
The NHS Extended Hours programme aims to:
“Ensure everyone has easier and more convenient access to GP services, including appointments at evening and weekends”
Locally the pre-bookable appointments are currently available as follows:
- Weekday evenings (Monday to Friday) after 6.30pm
- Saturdays between 9am and 5pm

Portcullis: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, weekly. Friday evenings and Saturdays mornings on a rota. Doctor, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, and Counsellor appointments
Clun: Alternate week Thursday evenings, Friday evenings and Saturdays mornings on a rota. Doctor appointments
Church Stretton: Friday evenings and Saturdays mornings on a rota. Doctor appointments
Bishops Castle: Monday evenings, weekly. Friday evenings and Saturdays mornings on a rota. Doctor and Advanced Nurse Practitioner appointments
Station Drive: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, weekly. Friday evenings and Saturdays mornings on a rota. Doctor, Nurse and Health Care Assistant appointments
