Coronavirus ( COVID-19)


If you are unwell and have recently travelled to any of the affected areas, or have been in contact with someone who has, please DO NOT come to the practice.  Please self -isolate.   Up-to-date information is available on NHS inform.       If you are feeling unwell with a cough, difficulty breathing or fever....stay at home and contact NHS 111.


Wash your hands more often than usual , for 20 seconds with soap and hot water, particularly after coughing or sneeding and blowing your nose.  


To reduce the spread of germs when you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue.  Throw the tissue away immediately and then wash your hands or your a hand sanitising gel.

Appointments

We offer morning appointments Monday to Friday and afternoon appointments on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. A number of appointments are kept free to be filled “on the day” for people with urgent problems. Please ring between 08:30 – 09:00 for one of these appointments.

We also offer telephone consultations when the doctor will phone you at a pre-arranged time.

You have the right to request an appointment with a specific doctor. Please make this known when making your appointment.

Emergencies

The doctors respond personally to emergency calls made during normal working hours. If the surgery is closed then you can still call us on 0141 959 1704 and you will be given details of NHS 24 (telephone number -111)

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
