Dear Patient,

We are in the process of changing our supplier for the online consultation service. Please bear with us. We will notify you when the service resumes.

Appointments

We offer routine appointments for GPs within 48 hours and the nurse within 24. Medically urgent problems are dealt with the same day. Due to the pandemic, all appointments are remote, either by telephone or video, unless you are invited by the clinician for a face to face appointment.

Please telephone 020 8985 1930 between 08:30 - 12:30 and 13:30 – 18:30 to make an appointment with a GP or nurse. We aim to provide such appointments within 48 hours. Do not make any other requests on this line. Appointments can be made only over the telephone unless you do not own one, in which case you may make an appointment in person between the times stated earlier. If you wish to speak to a GP or a Nurse, please ring the main line on 020 8985 1930 to request a telephone consultation.

Patients must register their name at the reception upon arrival. A maximum delay of ten minutes is acceptable, following which the patient will have to make another appointment. Sessions sometimes run late, as needs of patients vary, and we thank you for your patience.

On grounds of emergency, your turn may be superseded. Please extend your co-operation to the receptionists in such cases.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please try to inform us at least an hour before the appointment so we may offer the slot to another person.

On-Line Appointments

This practice is now offering a limited amount of on-line appointments. To use this facility you would need register for this service. You will need to bring a valid Passport or Driving License to reception to confirm your identity.

We also provide out-of-hours (extended) GP and nurse appointments outside of normal surgery hours at some other GP Practices. If you would like to access these, please see our `Hackney GP Extended Access' section in the `Opening Times' section.

Access to the Interpreter Services

You can access the use of an interpreter if you feel you cannot communicate well enough in English. Members of the Practice team can provide interpretation in Cantonese, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi. If you feel comfortable, you can always bring a family member or friend to interpret for you. We also provide access to a telephone interpreter service during consultations. Please indicate this when booking your appointment or is being booked on your behalf.

If you are deaf and know how to use sign language,  we can organise access to one. However, please be advised that this service is in high and with very limited resources and so will require a few days' notice.

DUTY DOCTOR SERVICE – FOR WHEN YOU HAVE AN URGENT MEDICAL PROBLEM

This service offers you quick access to your GP practice, where they know you and have your full medical record. We recommend this service instead of going to A&E at the hospital:

  1. Phone the surgery and explain to reception that you have an urgent problem
  2. Reception can then put you on the Duty Doctor list
  3. The Duty Doctor will ring you back within 2 hours
  4. The Duty Doctor will decide with you what you need, which could be:
  • Advice over the phone
  • An appointment at the surgery
  • A home visit if you are really not well
  • A referral to another service
