Ordering of Repeat Medications

From 4th July 2016 we will no longer accept prescription requests from the Chemist.  You can only order medication by

1.  Placing your repeat medication slip in the box located in the waiting area

2.  Order online via our practice website at www.burnbankmedicalcentre.co.uk

3.  Telephoning our new prescription voicemail system 01698 456622 (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)

It is estimated that over £15 million pounds worth of prescribed medication in Scotland is wasted each year.  We all have a part to play in reducing this.

 

Failure to Attend Appointments

PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOU FAIL TO ATTEND AN APPOINTMENT YOU WILL BE SENT A LETTER ADVISING YOU OF SAME.  SHOULD YOU FAIL TO ATTEND 3 TIMES WITHIN A YEAR YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM OUR PRACTICE LIST AND ASKED TO REGISTER WITH ANOTHER PRACTICE.

Home Visits

Doctor's bagWhilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate that this is not always possible. If you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception at 8am. 

Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it. The GP will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls
