đź’‰Autumn/Winter Vaccination Programmeđź’‰
We will be contacting all patients who are eligible for the Flu and Covid vaccine, either by text message or letter. Patients will be allocated a 15 minute appointment slot at one of our Drive through clinics.
We will have staff on hand to direct patients and help with any queries or concerns.
We kindly request that patients attend for their vaccination at their allocated date/time as this will reduce traffic congestion and reduce wait times.
FAQ'S
What if I am attending on foot?
We will have a dedicated walk-in area in our treatment room for patients who are arriving on foot
I cannot attend the allocated date/time, what should I do?
If you cannot attend at your allocated date/time, we will have mop up clinics with our practice nurses throughout October/November. These appointments will not be available to book until the 11th October and can be booked via www.patient-services.co.uk or by contacting reception on 028406 23303.
Another member of my household has received a different date/slot time
Members of the same household and carers who have received an invitation to attend for their flu/covid vaccine, can attend at the same date/time for their vaccination provided they have received an invitation.
Why should I get vaccinated?
Flu and Covid have a massive impact on morbidity and mortality during the winter months particularly and are a major cause of harm to individuals, especially vulnerable people. Getting vaccinated will help reduce your risk of becoming ill or experiencing severe symptoms
Can the vaccine give me flu?
The flu vaccine cannot give you flu. Some patients may experience mild flu like symptoms which should resolve after a couple of days and can be managed by over the counter medications such as paracetamol.
