BOOK YOUR FLU JAB - Flu Vaccination Appointments Now Available
Flu vaccination provides the best protection against an unpredictable virus that infects many people and can cause serious illness/death each year. With COVID-19 still in circulation it’s really important to reduce the number of those becoming ill with flu this winter to help protect them, the NHS and social care services.
The vaccination is
free
and recommended
yearly
for those most at risk from flu. This includes anyone living with a long-term medical condition; everyone aged 50 years and over; carers; and close contacts of immunocompromised individuals.
WHO CAN HAVE A FREE FLU VACCINATION AT THEIR GP SURGERY?
If any of the following applies to you, you can have a
free, annual flu vaccination.
Priority will be given to those who are at most risk
.

close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
frontline health and social care staff
all children aged 2 and 3 on 31 August 2023

HELP US TO HELP YOU – COVID-19 precautions at the Flu Clinic
We are taking all necessary precautions to make the surgery as safe as possible for patients attending each site. Each clinic will have clearly marked routes to ensure social distancing to help keep you and our staff safe.
In turn, we kindly request that all patients:
arrive on time, not early or late, to avoid long queues that make it hard to socially distance
understand that queuing will be outside, regardless of inclement weather and there is ONLY disabled parking on each site (to allow for social distancing queues)
wear a face covering (to cover mouth and nose)
bring/use their own hand sanitiser
follow the social distancing signs and instructions around surgery
treat our staff with respect
WHAT IF I AM UNWELL FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
If you are feeling unwell (high temperature, new continuous cough, loss of taste or smell), DO NOT attend your appointment but do let us know.
WHAT IF I DO NOT WANT A FLU VACCINATION THIS YEAR?
If you decide not to have the vaccination
please let us know so we can enter this on your medical records. You can say no thank you to flu vaccine by clicking here
NO THANK YOU
