FLU VACCINATIONS 2016

WHEN WILL THE CLINICS BE TAKING PLACE?

Flu clinics will commence on 26th September 2016.

There will be NO walk in clinic. Please contact the practice on 020 7359 0445 to make an appointment with a nurse.

** Flu vaccinations for Children aged 2, 3 and 4 years old will be available from end of Sept/October **

WHO SHOULD HAVE THE FLU JAB?

1) Patients in “At-risk” groups

It is recommended that you have a flu jab if you:vaccination11

  • are 65 years old or over

  • are pregnant

  • have a serious medical condition (see * below)

  • are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person or one whose welfare may be at risk if you fall ill

2) Children aged 2, 3 & 4 years

This year a nasal spray flu vaccine will be routinely offered to all children with a date of birth between 1st September 2011 and on or before 31st August 2014.

3) People with serious medical conditions

The flu vaccine is offered free to anyone who is over six months of age and has one of the following medical conditions:

If you live with someone who has a weakened immune system, you may also be able to have a flu vaccine. Speak to your GP about this.
