Riversdale offers the full programme of childhood vaccinations as advised by NHS England in their guidance.   We have recently been contacted to ask us to publicise this survey for parents to do in the face of declining take up of vaccinations for parents and increased risk of the spread of measles, which can be a very dangerous disease.  We would ask that you complete this to provide research for the Department of Health.

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) in Young Children

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is one of the common viruses that cause coughs and colds in winter. It causes mild respiratory infection in adults and children, but it can be severe in infants who are at increased risk of acute lower respiratory tract infection. RSV is the most common cause of bronchiolitis in children aged under 2 years.

The RSV season in the UK typically begins in the autumn, earlier than the adult flu season, and runs through winter. However, during the last year, there has been a remarkable reduction in respiratory viral infections other than COVID-19. This means that there is an increasing number of young children who have never been exposed to these common viruses.
