Test Results

Patients sent for pathology tests (e.g. blood tests, urine or stool tests) should wait at least one week for the results to be returned to surgery. If a result is abnormal and you need to see a doctor, you will be contacted either by appointment letter, text or telephone call.

Patients wishing to contact the surgery regarding their results, may do so by telephoning the Reception between 13:30hrs – 14:30hrs only

Our Receptionists are not qualified to comment on any lab/scan results. If you have not been contacted by Reception either to book an appointment with a doctor or you have not received a fixed appointment time slot; you can arrange to book a follow-up appointment with a doctor, for the next available routine time slot, during which you can discuss your results with a doctor.

Please note: We have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect, we will only divulge test/scan results to the patient to whom they relate.  Test results are only shared with third parties in cases where that patient has given prior written permission for their release or if they are officially not capable of understanding for themselves.
