Clinics & Services
In addition to general medical consultations we are pleased to be able to provide specialist clinics and services covering the following areas:
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm - Men over 65 can self-refer into the clinic by ringing 01784 884859.
Anticoagulation - on-going surveillance of Warfarin therapy after initial stabilisation by the hospital is offered by our nurses.
Asthma / COPD - run by the practice nurse with a specialist interest in respiratory disease.
Audiology Clinic - provided by the Royal Surrey County Hospital here at the health centre two days a week. The clinic sees patients for hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, tinnitus and balance problems.
Blood Tests – Blood test service provided in our treatment room including specialist blood tests for certain conditions.
Cervical Smears - Tests are carried out by appointment by the practice nurse, you will be sent your reminders in the post.
Child Health - run by the health visitors with 6 week postnatal checks carried out by GPs. You may attend any time the clinic is open. A health visitor is available to weigh your baby and discuss baby's progress and any problems you may have. Clinics are held as follows:

- Byfleet Village Hall, 54 High Road, Byfleet, KT14 7QL ; 4th Wednesday 1:15pm - 2:45pm
- Chobham Children's Centre, Bagshot Road, Chobham, GU24 8AB ; 1st & 3rd Wednesday 1:00pm - 2:30pm
- Old Woking Children's Centre, The Community Centre, Sundbridge Road, Old Woking, GU22 9AT ; 2nd & 4th Wednesday 1:00pm - 2:30pm
- Brookwood Children's Centre, Connaught Road, Brookwood, GU24 0HF ; 2nd & 4th Thursday 9:30am - 11:00am
- Horsell Village Children's Centre, Church Hill, Horsell, Woking, GU21 4QQ ; 2nd & 4th Friday 9:45am - 11:15am

If your child is unwell, please do not bring them to the child health drop in. If you need advice then please contact your GP or NHS 111.
Local Breastfeeding support services below – Woking Baby café @ the Y POD Centre, Chobham Road, Woking, GU21 6JD. Monday 10am – 12noon. T: 01483 727900.
Pregnancy advice line - Maternity unit with Surrey Heartlands (Royal surrey, Ashford and St Peters, Epsom and St. Helier Hospitals) offer a 24 hours, 7 days a week midwifery led feeding and pregnancy advice line for babies up to 18 days old. Phone: 0300 123 5473.
Immunisations - please contact reception regarding an immunisations required, who will advise appropriately.
Contraceptive Services - including Mirena and copper coils, Implanon and contraceptive caps during gynaecology clinics within normal surgery hours. Emergency contraception is available after discussion with a GP or nurse, through the walk in centre or via your local pharmacy.
Counselling - via a doctor’s referral or self-referral, which details are available from reception.
Cryotherapy - treatment for superficial skin lesions including benign skin lesions – please note, there is a waiting list for this treatment and you will need to be seen by a GP prior to being added onto the waiting list.
Diabetes - we work closely with the specialist diabetic clinic at St Peter's Hospital. All patients with diabetes on our register are invited for annual and 6 monthly checks.
Echo (Heart) - provided every week by appointment only.
Gynaecology Clinic - a team comprising GPs, nursing staff, sonographer and physiotherapist specialise in female health disorders including menstrual/PMT problems, menopause/HRT, polycystic ovaries, prolapse/bladder problems, fertility, urogynae continence.
Health Checks - aimed at adults in England aged 40 to 74, it checks your vascular or circulatory health and works out your risk of developing some of the most disabling - but preventable - illnesses. These are 30 minute appointments with our Health Care Assistants and can be booked at Reception.
Minor Surgery - for non-cosmetic skin lesions that require removal under local anaesthetic - please note, there is a waiting list for this treatment and you will need to be seen by a GP prior to being added onto the waiting list.
Podiatry - this service is via self-referral (telephone 01932 570607). Appointments are sent directly to the patient by the Podiatry Service at Chertsey Health Centre. Clinics are held at West Byfleet Health Centre.
Private Clinics - Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Psychotherapy, Skin and Hearing.
Sexual Health - If you are concerned about sexually transmitted infections you may wish to contact the Buryfields Clinic on 01483 783 300. Buryfields Clinic, 2ndFloor, 61 Lawn Road, Guildford, GU2 4AX.
Smoking Cessation - by appointment with a practice nurse or enquire at reception, where information about support groups is available.
Travel Health - The practice nurses provide full and comprehensive travel advice and vaccination service.
Ultrasound Scan - every week by appointment only.
Vascular - Ashford and St Peters Hospital provide a clinic at the Health Centre once a month.
