Nurse Clinics
Our Practice Nurse is fully qualified to advise on a range of matters and carry out a variety of procedures. The Practice Nurse will see patients by appointment only for
- smears
- travel immunisations
- healthy lifestyle screening, including advice on diet, alcohol, smoking and exercise.
The Practice Nurse can perform annual reviews for patients with:
- Asthma
- COPD
- Diabetes
- Heart problems
- Chronic kidney disease
- High blood pressure (Hypertension)
- Rheumatoid arthritis

TRAVEL ABROAD
Our practice Nurse runs Travel Health clinics and can administer the relevant immunisations 6-8 weeks before travel. You will be required to complete a travel assessment questionnaire prior to your appointment. There is a charge for some vaccinations which will be communicated to you before administration. If you require travel vaccinations less than 6 weeks before travel, please contact one of the following :-

We recommend seeking travel advice at least 6–8 weeks before your departure date.
Cervical Smears
Available to all women (except after a total hysterectomy) between the ages of 25 and 49 on a 3 yearly basis and 50 to 64 every 5 years. Regular reminders are sent (the majority of our smears are done by our Practice Nurse).
Phlebotomy (Blood Clinic)

Baby Clinic
Dr Saniya Mansfield and Dr Shimaila Ali carry out 8 week baby checks and Julie Whitehead, Practice Nurse administers the childhood vaccination. The vaccinations are by appointment only, parents will be notified when to attend, and must contact the surgery if unable to attend for the appointment. If a parent or guardian is unable to attend with the baby, they must give permission by form of a letter to the person bringing the baby.
