Antenatal Care by appointment on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with the Midwives based at Concorde Surgery.
Asthma Clinic by appointment with our Asthma Nurses. Regular check-ups are advisable to monitor your medication and to discuss any problems related to the condition
Blood Pressure Checks We recommend that anyone over 40 years of age has their blood pressure checked at least every year.

Carers group Sian Erickson (078754 00301) sianholistickhealthvisitor@gmail.com facilitate a carers group on the first Friday of every month in the Chantry. His background is general nurse specialising in palliative care and a health visitor specialising in child protection. After 25 years in the NHS he has set up independently and have been commissioned by South Gloucester to run the carer's group. Any patients who are also carers can contact him.
Cervical Smear Tests The NHS allows routine smears to be performed and all females between the ages of 24-49 are routinely called every 3 years whilst those females between the ages of 50-64 are routinely recalled every 5 years. You will be contacted by the Health Authority when your next smear is due. Don't lose the chance to reduce your risk of cervical cancer. You can reduce the risk of cervical cancer by attending cervical screening. Despite this, over 20% of women invited for screening don't attend. Child Health drop in Clinic is held at Brook Way Activity Centre on Thursdays 13:30-14:40. The health visitors attend these clinics.
Children's Immunisation Clinics are now held on either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday morning. For safety reasons only person is currently allowed to bring the child in. No prams or pushchairs or bags are allowed only the red book. The nurse meet you in the waiting room.
Diabetic Clinic by appointment with our diabetic nurse. Regular check-ups are advisable to monitor your medication and to discuss any problems related to the condition.
District Nurses The number for contacting the District Nurse is now via the Sirona Single Point of Access (SPA) 0300 125 6789 Option 1. This is the same number 24/7
Family Planning When booking your appointment with the nurse, please inform reception you require contraception so a prescription can be ready for you . You now only need to see the nurse once a year when you will be given a 6-month prescription. You can order a repeat prescription, when needed, for the remainder of that year.
Flu Vaccinations Department of Health guidelines advise all patients aged 65 and over, as well as those with chronic heart, stroke, lung disease or diabetes to have an annual flu vaccination. Mental Health Practitioner Service at Bradley Stoke Surgery
Are you suffering from any of the following? Anxiety, Stress, Work-related Stress, Low Mood, Depression, Panic Attacks, Agoraphobia, or any other problem relating to Mental Health. If so, you may wish to book an appointment with the Mental Health Practitioner who is based at the surgery. You may be referred via a GP or Practice Nurse or you can self-refer.
Minor Injuries Service If you suffer a minor injury please ring NHS 111 for advice. Calls to 111 are free from any mobile or landline..
NHS Health Checks Why should I have an NHS Health Check? Anyone can be at risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease and some forms of dementia. These can be referred to as vascular disease. The good news is that these conditions can often be prevented, even if you have a history of them in the family. Everyone between the ages of 40 and 74 (except people who have already been diagnosed with one of these conditions or have certain risk factors) will be invited to a free NHS Health Check every five years. You do not have to wait to be invited, if you qualify you can book your NHS Health Check Appointment at reception now! Have your check and you will be able to take steps to maintain or improve your health. When referred for further care you might receive a notification via the NHS App. Please do not try and book your referral immediately as it can take up to 3 weeks for the referral to be processed.
