For minor appointment needs please try to book an appointment slot on days when more doctors are available. 

For multiple query appointments please ask the receptionist for a double slot when booking in.

When We Are Closed

Out-of-hours cover is the responsibility of NHS Tayside.  For urgent advice between 18:00 and 08:00 on a weekday and at weekends, please phone NHS24 on 111.  You’ll speak first to an experienced nurse who will assess your symptoms and then either give advice or direct you to the most appropriate healthcare professionals or organise a home visit.  If you phone the surgery, you will hear a recorded message asking you to phone NHS24.  To make an appointment or ask for a repeat prescription, please phone the surgery during working hours. 

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999.

Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.  

Suspected stroke eg facial asymmetry, one-sided limb weakness, speech affected, constitute an emergency.

In what is always a busy time of year for the Surgery due to public holiday closing, we would like to ask everyone to make sure they have their prescriptions fully up to date before the Holiday period starts.

We will be open Monday-Friday as normal except for the following dates:

Early opening hours were suspended by Scottish Government during the Pandemic. We have now been given the okay to resume providing additional appointments outside our usual opening hours.

Starting at the end of September 2022 we will be offering two early morning sessions per week. In normal weeks (those without public holidays) we will operate these on a Wednesday and Thursday morning. Due to staffing one day per week this will commence at 7.15am and the other day from 7.30am. 

The day of the week with the 7.15am start will change week to week in cycle with our staff rota.

Christmas/New Year 2024/25: There will be no early session surgeries during the fortnight between Monday 23rd December and Monday 6th January due to the Public holidays falling on Wednesdays and Thursdays this year.
