D-Doc is an out of hours GP service for North Dublin City and Count. It offers an appointment only service and is open each weekday evening from 18:00 – 08:00 the following day, and 24 hours on Saturday, Sunday, and on Bank Holidays.
Your call will be answered by trained staff and depending on your condition, D-Doc can arrange for you to be seen by a GP at one of our treatment centres, or can arrange for you to get advice from our clinical staff on the phone.
Our Treatment Centres are located at:
- Ballymun Health Centre, Ballymun, Dublin 9
- Coolock Health Centre, Cromcastle Road, Coolock, Dublin 5
- Hartstown Health Centre, Hartstown Road, Clonsilla, Dublin 15
- North Strand Health Centre, North Strand, Dublin 1
- Swords Health Centre, Bridge Street, Swords, Co Dublin
All patients must phone D-Doc in advance to arrange an appointment.
If you have a medical card or a GP Visit Card, the service is free. If not, the doctor will charge a fee for the visit. Medical Advice given over the phone is provided free of charge.
You should only call D-Doc when your illness cannot wait until you can see your own doctor during normal hours. Details of your visit to D-doc will be given to your GP before their surgery opens, so they can follow up on any treatment.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
