Meningococcal ACWY (Men ACWY) Vaccination

This vaccine helps protect against meningococcal disease which can cause meningitis (inflammation of the brain) and septicaemia (blood poisoning).

The following patients are eligible for the Men ACWY vaccination:-

Teenagers born between 01/09/1998 to 31/08/1999 (2017 school leaver cohort) are now eligible for urgent catch up with Men ACWY vaccination

Anyone born on or after 01/09/1996 who has missed routine school vaccination or catch up Men ACWY

New entrants to higher education (university fresher's) who have not been immunised with Men ACWY vaccine.

The vaccine is free and may save your life.
