Appointments

We have now gone live with our new online consultation service-Patient Triage. This is a great way for you to contact our practice for non-urgent medical or admin requests. It is very simple to fill out so please do give it a go if you need to contact us, here is the link - https://florey.accurx.com/p/W98003 alternatively return to the homepage and click on submit a new request.  This system is available 8-9 am Monday to Friday.  Although the character count is limited on the form, please try to give as much specific and concise information as possible. We really think it is easier for most people than waiting on hold to speak to a receptionist but would love to hear your feedback. If you do not have access to the internet or find it difficult to use a computer or smartphone you can call reception instead.  You can call us from 8 am any weekday morning and request a telephone/video consultation or face to face appointment.  Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to ensure you are booked in with the most appropriate clinician.  All staff are trained in Care Navigation and may book you in with an alternative clinician to a GP such as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Audiologist, Mental Health Nurse, Physiotherapist, Practice Nurse or you may be signposted to a pharmacy to be seen under the Common Ailments Service (please look at our Choose Pharmacy page for suitable criteria and further information).

For some problems you will be advised to ask for a face to face appointment as certain conditions can not be assessed over the phone/video link as the doctor may need to examine you. For telephone consultations you may be asked to send us a photograph prior to speaking to a doctor, this will be via a secure link (accuRx) sent to your smart phone. You must speak to a receptionist prior to sending any photographs and consent must be recorded.

URGENT: If you feel you need to see a doctor as a matter of urgency, and you cannot wait for a routine appointment, you will be added to the on-call doctors telephone list, the duty GP will call you back to discuss if you problem requires an urgent assessment.

All children under 16 yrs with an acute medical problem will be offered a same day consultation

Nurses & Health Care Support Workers

Morning and afternoon appointments for Monday to Friday can be booked 4-6 weeks in advance.  You will be asked by the receptionist the nature of your appointment in order to book the most appropriate clinic.  You can also request a non-urgent appointment for a nurse or health care support worker via our email reception.w98003@wales.nhs.uk

DNA Policy

If you are unable to keep an appointment then please cancel it.  If you do not attend your appointment, you waste the doctors or nurses time, deny other patients the opportunity to see them and increase the overall waiting time for routine appointments.  If you fail to attend 2 appointments a warning letter will be issued. A further DNA of an appointment may result in you being removed from our patient list and you will need to register with another GP practice.
