Extended Access

GP Practices in this area are making it easier for you to make appointments at times which suit you.  From October 2017 all practices in South East Hampshire and Fareham and Gosport - including ours - will take part in a new scheme to allow you to make appointments from 8am to 8pm on week days, from 8am to 4.30pm on Saturdays and on Sunday mornings.

This extends the normal opening hours for surgeries which until now have usually run until 6.30pm on weekday evenings.

If you need to see someone we will be able to offer you an appointment at your local 'hub' location - they are located at Petersfield Community Hospital, Badgerswood Surgery Bordon, Waterlooville Health Centre, Havant Health Centre, Fareham Community Hospital and Gosport War Memorial Hospital.

Appointments

Telephone the surgery to book an appointment. Urgent cases are seen on the day.

doc babyIf your condition is non-urgent, you can expect to see a GP within two working days, though you may have to wait longer if you want to see a particular GP. If you don't need an appointment within two working days, you also have the option to book up to 12 weeks in advance if this is more convenient for you.

Say immediately if your call is an emergency. If more than one person in the family needs to be seen, please tell the receptionist at the time of booking the appointment and they will book an appointment for each person. The GP or nurse can only see one patient per appointment. Likewise if you have a number of conditions you would like to discuss, please ask for a double appointment. This helps to ensure that surgeries run to time.

You can book to have a telephone consultation with a doctor. He or she will ring you as soon as they are able once surgery has finished.

Extended Hours

We do offer early morning and later evening appointments for those patients who cannot attend the surgery during the normal working day. Please telephone the surgery for details. These surgeries tend to get booked well in advance and are not intended for emergency use. Any patient contacting the surgery with an emergency during this time will be redirected to the Out of Hours Service.
