Appointments
It is fair to say that we have made some changes in recent years regarding how patients can book appointments with our clinicians. We have updated this page to reflect all of the different ways that you can get in touch.
Appointments with a GP including our GP Registrars and Nurse Practitioner
In the first instance we ask that all patients book in for a telephone triage appointment. We found during the pandemic that a lot of appointments can be dealt with over the phone, so we have incorporated triage into our post-pandemic model to try and aid patient demand which remains high.
Booking a telephone triage appointment
Triage appointments can be booked with our GP’s and Nurse Practitioner on the day from 8am with a small number available to book up to three days in advance from 9am.
All these triage appointments are available to book online (via My Health Online), over the phone, in person at the surgery or via email.
If you are not already registered for My Health Online, please attend the surgery with your photo driving licence or passport and we will be able to get you registered.
You can always come down to the surgery to book a triage appointment. During the pandemic we were keen for people to avoid unnecessary visits to the surgery but we are happy to see you now. We do recommend the use of a face covering particularly if you are not feeling well.
For anything non-urgent, you can email us. You will need to allow up to 72 working hours for the email to be actioned. The email option can be used for ordering repeat medication. If you would like to book a non-urgent routine appointment, you can email us and we will email you or text you back with details of the appointment on a future date.

Of course you can always ring us. We know that our phone system has recently been struggling with the demand but we hope that these alternative avenues to contact us might reduce the waiting times on the phones.

Medical Students
As a practice we teach medical students from the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff. These are students studying in their first and third years of a five year course. These attachments allow them to study General Practice and share your valuable, real life experiences.
Occasionally, we may ask your permission for students to be present when you are seeing the doctor. It is of enormous benefit to the students to learn in this way, but we will always respect your decision if you do not feel comfortable with this. Please let the receptionist know if you wish to have a consultation without a student in the room.
Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
