DNA's - Did not attend

Danson Family practice prides itself on providing our patients with good and rapid access to appointments.

Over the last few months it has been noted that a proportion of patients are booking appointments but not attending.

The vast majority of patients are excellent at keeping their appointments. However there is a significant minority of patients that do not attend (DNA). With this in mind consistent non-attendance of appointments will result in patients being removed from the practice list. The practice will not be able to help all our patients if we have to lose a lot of time with missed appointments from the patients. If patients Do Not Attend an appointment at the practice without reason or warning they will initially receive a first warning letter or text message. If they DNA again a 2nd letter will be issued and will result in removal from the practice register. Parents get the warning letter for dependant children. Please help us to reduce the DNA's.

How to manage your appointment.

When you book your appointment please make it on a day and time that you will be able to attend.

Make a note of the date and time in your diary, calendar, or somewhere.

If you are held up or unable to attend then phone and cancel or re-book the appointment.

We offer a text message reminder service. Please provide an up to date mobile number.

Many thanks for your help with this
