Please note if booking an appointment on-line the available appointments mirror the available appointments at the surgery. So if you do not find a suitable appointment to book online please do not ring the surgery but check the next day as fresh appointments are released daily at 8am each morning.
The majority of routine appointments with our doctors, nurses and health care assistants can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance, subject to availability. This can be done online, over the phone or at reception.
A number of appointments will be allocated each day for patients who require urgent appointments. These will be with a specific doctor at a specific time and will be given out in time order. You be required to come out or work or bring your child out of school for an urgent appointment.
Reception staff will ask brief details on why you are needing an appointment with the GP in order to put book you in with the correct clinician. Reception staff have been instructed to do this by the Partners.
If you need advice but do not need to be examined you can ask to book a telephone appointment.
Our reception staff have been trained to signpost you to the most appropriate person for your care, so remember the more information you give the receptionist the easier it will be to help you. The reception team will also be able to assist you with any queries which are related to:
- Prescriptions
- Blood tests, urine tests, x-ray results
- Private medicals
- Sick notes
If you need advice on contraception, coils, contraceptive implants etc please mention this to the receptionist as they will be able to guide you to the appropriate GP's.
If we have your current mobile telephone number, you will receive an appointment confirmation and reminder text prior to your appointment. If you feel that you no longer need the appointment rather than ringing to cancel please reply "CANCEL" to the text which will free up the appointment for someone else to use.
