Appointments
GP Consulting Times
Monday - Friday 9:00 - 11:00am & 2.30 - 5.30pm
Earlier morning (from 7.30am) or later evening (to 6.30pm) appointments are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays on a rotational basis. Please ask the receptionist for details.
Consultations are by appointment, which can be made at the reception desk or by phone. Appointments are available at both locations to all patients.
The doctors are not all available at all the above times. Patients with urgent problems will be seen the same day. Non-urgent appointments will usually be within 7 days, however it may be longer if you wish to see a particular doctor.
Telephone Consultations
If you feel it is essential to speak with a doctor, please give some details to the receptionist and the doctor will phone you when available. Except in an emergency, this will not be during consulting times.
Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP)
Minor illness appointments, 8:30am to 4:00pm for all patients 4 years and over. The ANP can issue prescriptions.
Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
If you fail to attend for your appointment you will be sent a letter advising you that after 3 missed appointments you will be removed from the practice list.
Each month more than 100 appointments are wasted by patients failing to attend for their booked appointment without cancelling it in advance. This means that we have no opportunity to use the appointment for another patient and therefore reduces the number of appointments available.
