Late Night Appointments

We are pleased to announce that we now have late night opening on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to 8pm for nurse and Healthcare Assistant appointments.  We hope this will prove beneficial to patients who struggle to make a day time nurse appointments.  You can see our Healthcare Assistants Danielle & Jessica for the following: BP's, Healthchecks, Dementia Screening, Vascular checks, Stroke/TIA checks, Hearing Tests, Mental Health Reviews, Dopplers, B12 injections, ECG's.

We continue to have a very high number of patients who fail to attend appointments they have made each day so please do remember to cancel so they can be offered to other patients who may really need them . You can cancel your appointments online.

Telephone Advice

telephoneThe doctors and practice nurses are happy to discuss problems or give advice over the telephone. We now offer telephone appointments which are prebookable. You can also book these online.

Telephone Call Charges

We have recently transferred our calls to a local landline number.

Test ResultsTest Results

The receptionists can advise you that the result of your test is normal or ask you to make an appointment with your doctor. Please call after 2.00pm as this is the easiest time to speak with the team handling these.

When making an appointment about a test result always make the appointment with the doctor who requested it. To protect confidentiality we only give results to you personally.

If you have not heard about a referral to hospital or are concerned about a hospital waiting list, please do not make an appointment with a doctor. The practice secretary will look into such matters and will advise you of the outcome of her investigation. To speak with her call our normal number 01964 613221 and choose option 4. If the secretarial team are unavailable you will be able to leave a message for them to call you back.

Patient Choice

If you need to go to hospital to see a specialist, you have the right to choose which hospital you're referred to by your GP. This legal right, which was introduced in April 2009, lets you choose from any hospital offering a suitable treatment that meets NHS standards and costs.

The surgery has supported this policy for a number of years by using the choose and book system.

If you should decide to go to a hospital somewhere else in the country other than locally you should note that all follow up appointments will be at this hospital.
