Rothes Medical Centre as part of the Maryhill Group Practice promotes integrated team working aiming to deliver appropriate high quality hpealth care. We aspire to be a well motivated skilled team making efficient use of available resources.

Rothes surgeries:

These are provided on Monday (all day), Wednesday (am) and Friday (am), with both planned booked appointments and on the day emergency appointments, to book please contact reception.  In addition, the practice nurse provides additional nursing services, again these appointments can be booked by contacting reception.  

House visits:

House calls should be requested before 10.00 a.m if possible. You will be visited at some point during the day depending on the priority of your illness.  House calls  are carried out by a GP or one our highly qualified and experienced Emergency Care Practitioners. House calls are usually only required in exceptional cases – such as the terminally ill, truly housebound or genuine medical emergencies. 

When the Rothes Branch is closed 

Help is always available for our patients in Rothes. The main surgery in Elgin is open from 8am to 6pm. If you need assistance when the Rothes branch is closed please call the 03453370610 number. The duty team can ether discuss your need over the telephone, arrange for you to be seen in Elgin or if needed arrange for a house visit. 

Telephone advice:

When there is not a doctor at Rothes Medical Centre, telephone advice will be provided by the Duty on call team at Elgin Health Centre. Advice can be given and a prescription provided if deemed appropriate;This can be faxed to the your Pharmacy( please tell reception staff when you call which pharmacy you use). The receptionist will take some details to enable the team to call you back. It is helpful to give as much information as possible to assist the team in dealing with your request.
