As from the 19th December we are temporarily closing our practice list until 19th June 2019 when we will review our position.

Unfortunately, this means we will not be registering any new patients during this time unless you are direct family member of an existing patient who are currently registered with us live in the same household.

For those patients that sit outside this criteria please go to the NHS website: www.nhs.uk where you will be able to find other practices in the local area.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused and be assured we have not taken this decision lightly.

This closure will allow us to review our current staffing resource against patient demand so we may continue to provide continuity of care to our patients in the future.

Named GP for All Patients

As from April 1st 2015 All patients who are registered at the Wellspring Practice will be allocated a named GP.

What does this mean? – your named GP will work with all relevant health and social care professionals to deliver a multi-disciplinary care package that meets the needs of the patient.

Ensuring that patients have access to a health check

It does not mean: that your GP will take responsibility for work of other doctors or health professionals, or take on 24 hour responsibility of the patient, or be the only clinician to provide care to the patient, patients are not required to see the named GP when they book an appointment, and are entitled to choose to see any GP or Nurse in the practice, it does not imply your named GP will be personally available throughout the working week.
