Information for Patients

A new way to get your medicines and appliances:

Riversdale is going live with Electronic Prescribing in July 2014.  It will be for people with stable medical conditions who have repeat prescriptions and do not need to attend the surgery every time to collect it.  You will need to nominate a pharmacy and your prescription can electronically be sent to them.  They will send requests through to the surgery electronically, we will prepare them on our clinical system and send them back to the pharmacy electronically.  It reduced the paper administration and speeds the process up.  Please talk to your local pharmacist about nominating them to request prescriptions via this method.  For further information visit www.hscic.gov.uk/eps

Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)

PALS offers help, advice, support and information about the local health service.

As a patient, relative, carer or visitor you may not always know where to go for help or information.  It can often be a worrying or confusing time especially when you, or someone you know, is unwell.  This is where your PALS team can help.

The service is confidential; the information is used anonymously to identify trends in services, highlight good practice and also to identify where improvements to services are needed.
