We now offer patients the use of a secure web site on the Internet to:
- Request repeat prescriptions
- Book Appointments
- See your Summary Care Record (SCR)
- View Full Coded Records
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR SystmOnline? You must be a fully registered patient, over 18 years old, and need a letter from us containing personalised access codes . Come to Reception and ask for Registration for SystmOnline, you will need to show some photo ID, i.e. passport/driving license. You will be asked to complete a consent form, and your registration details / pin number will be sent to you by post in due course. Once you have the access codes and instructions you can connect to the web site at any time and register.
HOW DO I GET ONTO SystmOnline? You can visit this page by clicking on the image at the bottom of this page from anywhere in this website The first time you use the site you will be asked to change your password. Here you will need to enter the registration codes given to you by the practice.
REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS If one of our doctors has arranged a repeat prescription for you, and the review date has not expired, then you can use SystmOnline to request a repeat. Prescriptions can be collected two full working days after request. Once you have logged onto SystmOnline you can view any medication items by clicking List of your repeat medication in the Repeat Prescriptions section of the screen. Tick the items you require and then click Make Request.
BOOKING APPOINTMENTS You will be able to access the appointments booking facility. The on-line appointment booking facility currently offers appointments with doctors only. Some types of appointment will still need to be made via our receptionists, for example nursing appointments, baby checks, minor operations, coil fittings, or complex / multiple problems that may require a double appointment (the standard length of a doctor’s appointment is 10 minutes). If you have a problem which is medically urgent, then we advise that you contact us by phone in the usual way.
VIEWING SCR OR FULL CODED RECORDS The SCR is the data that is avaiable on the 'Spine' that allows other health professionals to have they information they need to treat a patient. The Full Coded Record contains additional information from your records. When you register you will be given an information sheet about what the data you can access.
SECURITY & CONFIDENTIALITY
We regard security and confidentiality as extremely important. Communications to the practice are encrypted, and security is at the same high level as for internet banking. It would only be possible to access your records by using your chosen PIN number / password. Needless to say, do not disclose your pin number to anyone. Each patient wishing to take advantage of this facility needs to sign individually a consent form, stating that they agree to their record being available to them on-line.
