SUPPORT & ADVICE FOR CARERS

Are you a carer?

A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a family member or friend who could not always manage without their support. They might look after someone with a physical disability, long term health condition, mental health issue or a problem with substance misuse.

Please ask at reception for a Carer Identification Form and leaflet. If you agree, we can add your name to our Carers Register and provide you with the support that you are entitled to.

We offer free flu jabs, flexible appointments and carer health checks, and we can register you with the charity ‘Carer Support Wiltshire’.

CARER SUPPORT WILTSHIRE

The charity ‘Carer Support Wiltshire’ is funded to provide support to all carers in Wiltshire. They can help you access training opportunities, support groups, free counselling, benefits advice, complementary therapies, and much more. All their services are completely free and 100% confidential. They are also responsible for undertaking Carer Assessments which are free of charge and can be booked through them.

It is advisable to register with them, even if you don’t feel you need help at the moment, so that you have all the necessary information to hand should your caring situation change.

They can be contacted directly by calling 0800 181 4118 or register via their website: www.carersupportwiltshire.co.uk
