Confidentiality and Complaints

We ask for personal information so that you can receive appropriate care and treatment. This information is recorded in your medical notes.

All patients' records and information will be handled in the strictest confidence in accordance with NHS regulations and codes of practice and the Data Protection Act/GDPR.

However, for the effective functioning of a multi-disciplinary team it is sometimes necessary that medical information about you is shared with other members of the practice team.

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the 'classes' of information the practice intends to routinely make available. This scheme is available from reception.  


If you are unhappy with the service or care you receive from the Practice you can;

Hard copies of the complaints policy and form and easy read complaint process are available at Reception or can be posted out to you on request.
