Edinburgh Carers Support Team

Do you look after a relative, partner or friend who needs extra support?  Are you a young carer?

The Edinburgh Carer Support Team can help support you as an unpaid carer.

The service offers information and advice which includes:

  • Your entitlements and rights as a carer
  • Creating an Adult Carer Support Plan
  • How to access local services for carers
  • Looking after yourself and emotional support
  • Emergency planning for the person you care for

Care Information Scotland

Care Information Scotland is a telephone and website service providing information about care services for people living in Scotland.

If you would prefer to talk to someone, please call the helpline on 0800 011 3200.  

You can also chat online to a member of the team.

If English is not your first language, they can also help with translating information for you.

Whatever your question about care, they will do their best to help you find the information you need.
