The redesign of the appointment system is going to be rather complex, so as an interim measure, I have simply removed the ability to book on line for any face-to-face appointments for the moment.
I have however written a flowchart for the reception team to follow.
They will be instructed to ask ALL PATIENTS asking for an appointment some questions regarding covid symptoms and exposure to the infection. If you do not tell the reception team the reason for your call, then it is unlikely to be acted upon in preference to those who have followed our instructions.
We have now locked our doors and will only open them for those patients who have been called and a face to face appointment has been made.
You MUST call us on 01323 484848 prior to attending the practice. All letters, prescriptions and samples are to be put through the letterbox. The majority of enquiries will be resolved by a return call from one of our clinicians.
I am aware that the services provided by some other surgeries elsewhere in the country have been compromised by individuals not being entirely candid about their symptoms and potential risks. If this happens at Manor Park, a dim view will be taken and you will likely be putting yourself in the position of having to register elsewhere. Trust in a relationship works both ways.
I will make sure you are kept up to date on this page. If you have any friends or family registered with us who use Facebook, please suggest they follow this page, https://facebook.com/manorparkmedical.
I will be putting posters up on the door and in the waiting room too of course.
I would also welcome any feedback from patients on these changes, either here or at the surgery. Alternatively, you could email the practice on email@example.com. This is in addition to any general feedback, reviews, compliments or complaints, though these are also welcome, as ever.
Thanks again for your patience as we manage this rapidly evolving situation.
