AccuRx Patient Triage

IMPORTANT NEW PROCESS FOR GP APPOINTMENTS

From October 2025 all GP surgeries in England are required to offer online consultation from 8am to 6.30pm, this is in line with NHS England’s goal of a digital first NHS. For this to run smoothly from October we are currently trialling an online consultation model using the AccuRx software package.

Please submit your medical or admin query online via our website, there is a short form to complete.

Where to submit your request:

Please note, there is no change to urgent requests. If you feel your query is urgent and must be dealt with on the day, continue to phone Reception. Non urgent queries will however be redirected back to the online consultation form. If your concern could be life threatening, please call 999.

If you do not have access to the internet, please Call Reception and they will complete the same online form for you on your behalf.

Both Online and Reception forms are submitted to the GP via same pathway, neither is quicker so we encourage you to complete the form yourself to free up the phone lines for those that need them.

You will receive a response to your request within 2 working days, this is usually direct from your registered GP.

We understand frustration that surrounds change; this is not the route we would have chosen to adopt so soon either but it will soon be a contractual requirement for us, so we need to start to trial this to see what works and what needs improving to ensure we get the process right for our patients.

Patient triage benefits include improved and equitable access to healthcare services, enhanced patient care by prioritising those with the highest needs, and efficient resource allocation. It also helps to reduce wait times.

We really do welcome your feedback during this trial period; you can submit feedback via the website or in person via a feedback form at either of our sites.
