Test Results

Please note the following in connection with a test result:

• If the GP or Practice Nurse has asked you to make a follow-up appointment it is NOT necessary for you to enquire about a test result on the telephone. Please allow 10 days.

• If you do not have a follow-up appointment then please telephone reception 10 days after the test to ensure that a result has been received and seen by the GP.

• Alternatively, the GP may have given you specific instructions.

Please telephone after 11 am for a test result

Reception staff are not clinically trained and cannot give you specific details about the result – please do not ask them. They will tell you if the result was normal, if you need to make a further appointment with the GP or if a prescription has been issued.
