Physiotherapy

Practice Based Physiotherapy

The Practice based physiotherapist service is provided by registered physiotherapists who are the first point of contact for patients with musculoskeletal pain, providing expertise and increased capacity to general practice and giving patients faster access to the right care.

We currently have one physiotherapist.  Caitriona graduated from University of Ulster in 2004. Since then she has worked in a variety of settings within the NHS and private practice, specialising in the management of musculoskeletal conditions.

As a first contact practitioner Caitriona can provide expert assessment, diagnosis and advice on musculoskeletal conditions including;

  • Back or neck pain
  • Sprains or strains
  • Sports injuries
  • Joint or muscle pain

If appropriate they can arrange for further investigations, such as x-rays or scans and refer onward to hospital based specialists.

We want out patients to see the 'right person, right place, first time'.
