Patient Participation Group

Exciting times have come to Weobley & Staunton on Wye Surgeries!

The Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of patients registered with the surgery who have no medical training but have an interest in the services provided. The aim of the PPG is to represent patients' views and cross barriers, embracing diversity and to work in partnership with the surgery to improve common understanding.

The first meeting of the PPG was held on Monday 19th January at Weobley Surgery and was extremely well attended by an invited cross-section of patients from both Weobley and Staunton on Wye areas and by Diane Jones, Lay representative from the Clinical Commissioning Group with a specialist interest in the patient voice.

The key roles of the group are to bring together patients, doctors, practice staff and local commissioners to:

  • Promote the well-being of patients and support the practice to provide a high quality of care and service delivery
  • Provide a locality support process for commissioners so that local needs can be identified
  • The PPG will enable the Practice to communicate and build positive relationships with its patient population

Meetings will be held quarterly, alternating between Weobleyand Staunton on Wye practices.

Patients are being asked for feedback. Patient Online have created 2 surveys, for those aged 18 years and older, to collect information so that NHS England can get a better view about how patients feels about booking and cancelling appointments, ordering repeat prescriptions and viewing their medical records online.  This is a follow up survey to the one that took place during Dec 2014-Jan 2015. The information will be used to shape and improve future online services.

The survey will take less than 5 minutes to complete and your responses are anonymous and will remain confidential.

Please complete Survey A if you DO NOT use any online services (access to records/appointment booking/online repeat prescriptions) currently at your GP Surgery.
