GP practices and other primary medical services are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
This means that all GP practices have to be registered with the Care Quality Commission by law. CQC check services to make sure we meet the national standards of quality and safety, and a central part of this involves listening to the views and experiences of people who use the service and using their views to help them make judgements about the service we provide.
To find out more about the activities of the CQC, please visit the website at www.cqc.org.uk
The CQC also produce a ‘Guide to Working Together’ for GP Practice Patient Participation Groups and this is attached below.
