Hospital Appointment and Referral Information
The COVID-19 pandemic has added to the strain on all NHS services. As a result of this, waiting list times for outpatient and specialist appointments and procedures have increased for everybody.
We appreciate that this can cause worry and uncertainty about when you will eventually receive an appointment. The practice has no direct access to the hospital appointment lists.
If you have been referred by your GP/are waiting for :
- An outpatient appointment
- An appointment for hospital tests (eg scans)
- A date for an operation or other treatment
- A follow-up from your hospital team
and you have a query about what is happening, please contact the Patient Helpdesk on 0800 048 5800.
Only call the practice if your condition has genuinely deteriorated, when you will be reviewed by one of the clinical team and appropriate action can be taken in regard to your care.
Breast Screening Unit Currently In Ely

Your health records contain a type of data called confidential patient information. This data can be used to help with research and planning.
You can choose to stop your confidential patient information being used for research and planning. You can also make a choice for someone else like your children under the age of 13.

It's available 24/7 - we respond in working hours, 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday
We aim to respond as quickly as possible. Since October 2018, we have been able to help people on average within 64 mins of them contacting us, but this may vary on days when demand is particularly high.

Access & Parking
At the Cathedral Medical Centre reserved car parking spaces for the disabled are marked near the front door. Wheelchair access to the building is via the front entrance. A disabled patients' WC is also provided.
Parking is available for patients.
